Thoughts from Kathy on Right To Work:

Kathy serving in the Indiana House of Representatives
"Last night we successfully passed the RTW bill out of the House. It will go to the Senate now for final acceptance then on to the Governor for his signature.
This was a hard-fought issue with emotional testimony on both sides. In the end, after as much research as we could do, after listening to everyone we could listen to, after surveying our districts and reading hundreds and hundreds of emails, I feel we passed a bill that will give Indiana the competitive edge when it comes to job attraction, that will indeed strengthen our unions, not weaken them and that will be fair to all workers statewide.
When I first ran for office, JOBS was my number one priority, and it remains the same today. With over 225,000 Hoosiers still out of work, over 35,000 of those in Northeast Indiana, we need to have that competitive edge if we want to attract new businesses to our state. I thank all of my constituents for your interest, your thoughts, your hard work and your support as we tackled this tough issue."
